Never miss another 'King King' show
Energetic and dynamic Soulful Blues/Rock!
The meteoric rise to prominence of British blues breakers King King, has seen the racking up a host of accolades culminating in 2012’s Best Band and Best Album at the British Blues Awards.
Since they began touring three years ago, King King’s unique brand of multi-faceted blues rock has won over audiences as diverse as The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival, the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival, the internationally acclaimed Belgium Rhythm & Blues Festival in Peer and even Glastonbury.
The driving force behind King King’s unstoppable charge is Alan Nimmo, a virtuoso frontman possessed of an almost impolite level of charisma and the talent to back it up. An award winning bluesman in his own right and widely known across the UK and Europe. Nimmo’s full-blooded style, technical brilliance and impassioned vocals are infections and instantly recognisable.
Surrounding himself with the hottest talent currently working the scene has made King King an irresistible melting pot of influences. The result is a sound which is energetic, potent and irresistibly funky, to quote Guitar & Bass: ‘King King play the kind of blues that’ll lift the most stubborn of frowns’.
Winners of 'Best Band' & 'Best Album' 2012 in The British Blues Awards.
Winners of 'Best Band' & 'Best Album' in Blues Matters Magazine Writers Poll 2011.

Laurence has been playing the guitar since he was 8 years old. He began playing the classical guitar where he went on to achieve grade 8 distinction.
In 2006 he started to play the electric guitar and was influenced by Eric Clapton, Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix, Gary Moore and Albert Collins.
Since then, his love of Blues/Rock music has grown and in 2009 Laurence put together the Laurence Jones Band, playing a blend of the rocking blues with a groovy and catchy modern edge.
'Laurence is a cross between Eric Clapton & Buddy Guy he is a genius' (Walter Trout).
