In 1890, the Italian criminologist Cesare Lombroso addressed one of the most explosive is-sues of the day. Revolutionaries were not political ideologues, he believed, but criminals.

What’s more their crimes could be read in their faces. This group will meet over three evenings to explore the Europe of yesteryear and today, Lombroso’s scientific contemporaries and predecessors, and just why he disliked anarchists so much.
