Four fiddles - one beautiful sound. RANT is a celebration of the instrument for which all four members have a passion. Describing themselves as a chamber-folk quartet, their music draws on fiddle traditions from Shetland, Scotland, Scandinavia and beyond, and saw them nominated for a BBC Folk Award immediately their debut album was released. Sisters Jenna & Bethany Reid are well-known to The Courthouse after appearances with Filska, Dochas & Jenna’s own band. They are joined by former BBC Young Folk Award winner Lauren MacColl and Sarah-Jane Summers, a highland fiddler whose love of Norwegian music and its hardanger fiddle has seen her relocate to Oslo.
