Nancy Kerr & James Fagan

Nancy Kerr is a well-known folk fiddle player who is a member of trio Simpson Cutting Kerr (with Martin Simpson and Andy Cutting.) Her two solo albums Sweet Visitor and Instar elevated her as a leading composer of modern folk songs. In 2015 she won BBC Radio 2 Folk Singer of the Year.

Specialising in bouzouki, guitar and mandolin James Fagan is a member of both Melrose Quartet and The James Brothers. He has also appeared on albums by Cara Dillon, Martin Simpson, Eliza Carthy and Spiers and Boden and was part of Bellowhead for their Hedonism tour in 2010.

In 2003 they were the first ever recipients of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Award’s 'Best Duo' Award, which they won again in 2011. Starting a family has reduced the amount of time they can spend on the road together, so their duo shows are now special and sought-after events.
