Hallowe'en Scare Fest

See the Civic as you've never seen it before.

There will be two zones:
Zone A - for younger people and accompanying adults
Zone B - for over 13s and adults

Zone A is a less scary experience and involves Apple bobbing, a disco party and traditional games. There are a few spooky surprises though so be warned. This lasts from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Come for the whole time and enjoy party games and competitions and come in fancy dress (prizes awarded for the best). The disco party ends at 7:00pm but the bar will remain open for groups who are waiting for people on the tour.

Zone B is a scare fest tour of the theatre. Tours leave from the main reception every 15 minutes.
As you enter you'll be greeted by a tour guide who will tell you the (fact or fiction) history of the theatre. Then you'll be invited to join them on a walk through some areas of the theatre that you've never seen before.
There are some scares and surprises on the tour so it is not suitable for the very young or anyone of a nervous disposition.

Please note: this Hallowe'en event has two distinct activities so make sure you know which you're booking for. Young people who are not going on the scarier part of the tour can not be left unattended in the bar after 7:00pm. It is suggested you come in larger groups and split your group into two times for the tour then someone can remain with the younger ones. The theatre tour takes over half an hour so don't book on consecutive tours.

When booking your tour please make a note of the time and arrive at least 10 minutes before that time as all tours will start off exactly on time.

There is a bar at the end of the tour. Everyone entering the building must have a ticket but if you are just accompanying young people to the disco party you can buy a general ticket. This does not give you access to the theatre tour.

Under 8s - £4.50.
Accompanying adults who are not going on the tour - £2.00
All people going on the tour of the theatre - £4.50.

Just to be clear - if your child is 8 or over and is going on the tour they get free entry to the party. But if your child is under 8 and only going to the party they need a party tickets.
