Tessa Hadley has written seven novels – including The London Train and also The Past, which won the Hawthornden Prize – and three collections of short stories. Her new novel, Late in the Day, came out in February this year. She publishes short stories regularly in the New Yorker, reviews for the Guardian and the London Review of Books; she was awarded a Windham Campbell prize for Fiction and the Hawthornden Prize in 2016. Tessa is visiting Edge Hill to celebrate of her Edge Hill Prize-winning collection Bad Dreams and Other Stories. As part of this event, a selection of students will also be reading their work.
