Rum Buffalo

Combining heavy punk grooves, soulful vocals and epic horn lines, we’re delighted to have Rum Buffalo perform an exclusive set for online viewers of our Sound By The Sea programme.

Originating as a busking troop on the cobbled streets of Covent Garden, the band kicked off on the London underground scene, picking up virtuosic players along the way. They developed a unique, powerhouse sound and are known for their unforgettable live performances packed with massive basslines and carried by unified melodies.

Rum Buffalo is an extensive melting pot, drawing influences from genres such as alt punk, soul, hip hop and space rock with a sprinkle of vaudeville. Along with their attention to melody, all of these themes come together to make the band’s cutting original sound.

The band have toured the world and performed to thousands in countries such as Iceland, Turkey and Malta, along with a string of gigs in New York City, which included a show at Rock Wood Music Hall.

The 8-piece band will launch their debut album In November which has been five years in the making. The album will encapsulate the essence of their electric live shows and eclectic genres.
