Come and join the Oakham Choral Society & Orchestra as they begin the countdown to Christmas with a programme of fantastic carols and Christmas pieces. The concert will feature Rutter's Gloria, an appropriately festive setting of this Christian Hymn of Praise.
Having established its position in many Christmas concerts, Rutter describes the mood of the Gloria as 'exalted, devotional and jubilant by turns'. Vaughan William's Fantasia on Christmas Carols throws us into the Christmas spirit, featuring the English folk carols The truth sent from above, Come all you worthy Gentlemen & the Sussex Carol.
