Sam Avery

Sam Avery appearing at this event

Affable quick-witted banter merchant Sam Avery wanted to be a rock star! It nearly happened! Snapped up by music bigwigs at the tender age of 17 and touring with Motorhead and Ice T, he quickly developed a taste for sweat and snakebite. 'A comic you just know is gonna be big' (www.Manchestercomedy.com).

Darius Davies

Darius Davies appearing at this event

Back in 2007, Darius Davies began his comedy career gracing the stages of the open mic nights in New York. Pretty swiftly, his unique brand of high octane comedy got him noticed and he won an MTV New Talent contest; opening the door for Darius to strut his stuff on MTV America. A distinct voice in a sea of ubiquity – Darius is fearless in his belief in what is funny and forging his own path. This is high energy, captivating stand up comedy fuelled with passion, soul and wit. He also has the best routine about electrical plugs you will ever hear. 'An on the street observationist with an eye for the absurd with sharp lines and rough edges. High-energy and crowd pleasing' (Comedy Punter) 'Brilliant, hilarious, outstanding...' (Broadway Baby).

Barry Dodds

Barry Dodds appearing at this event

This charming Geordie motor-mouth has audiences in the palm of his hand, even when discussing the most near the knuckle subjects. With material ranging from the supernatural to euthanasia, everything is delivered with a cheeky smile that wins over even the most stony faced of the audience. A finalist in various high profile competitions such as Jimmy Carr’s Comedy Idol and Jongleurs Last Laugh Comedy Search, his twinkly eyed, playful demeanour disarms judging panels, industry experts and audiences alike, allowing him flirt coquettishly with topics that are traditionally a little more unusual. 'Hugely enjoyable... a ton of great stories... one to watch' (The Guardian) 'Razor sharp humour' (Metro) '... the appealing and perceptive Barry Dodds... captivates his audiences with his energy, spirit and tantalizing wit. His mix of surprisingly uncanny and irrepressibly cheeky material leaves them wanting for more' (Funhouse Comedy).
