India Electric Company

India Electric Co. wowed our audience in October 2021 so we were very keen to get them back to Grayshott Village Hall GU26 6TZ, at the earliest opportunity. This time they return with Percussionist Russell Field to supplement their sound and as part of the launch tour for their brand new album.

By blending traditional instruments and Folk melodies with subtle electronic influences, Joseph O'Keefe (Accordion, Fiddle, Keyboards,Vocals) and Cole Stacey (Guitars, Vocals) have developed their own unique and wide-ranging sound. Sometimes Folk, sometimes not, India Electric Co. use their instruments in contemporary styles to explore diverse themes from Eastern Europe, Irish traditions and modern urban alienation to end up with something ............

In addition to honing their own musical style, this duo have also worked extensively with Midge Ure, forming part of his touring band as well as providing the support act for his gigs and by the time they return to Grayshott in December 2022, they will have completed another major European tour with him.

In their own right, IEC have toured throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand, including UK shows at The London Palladium and Hammersmith Apollo and they offer their audiences:

After live sessions with BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music, Glastonbury Festival appearances and BBC Introducing’s backing, they released their debut album "The Gap" in 2020 with The Daily Telegraph noting they are “Bursting with invention and full of surprises.”
