'Where’s my home? Is it where I am? Is it where I end? Is it where I began?'
From wombs to graves, motherlands to Trini dads, Mellow Baku delivers a potent, captivating performance, inviting the audience to explore what home means with spoken word, song, digital artwork, the occasional audience contribution to the magic of live looping, and intuitive percussion from talented drummer Sophie Fishwick.
Influenced by African and Caribbean ancestry, Soon Come [. . .] Home is inspired by migration toward and away from what we call ‘Home’.
