Norwich Theatre Royal is turning trans-Atlantic this summer as the stage is transformed into the classrooms and corridors of Swallow Falls High School. The centre of learning is the setting for this year’s summer musical from the Norwich Theatre Royal Youth Company.

High School Prom Queen aims to follow the preparations, battles, angst and romance which leads up to winning the prestigious prom queen prize. The show begins with pupil Lily expecting to gain the title for a fourth time but there are plenty of obstacles to winning the popularity poll including a new very pretty female pupil, an English exchange student who could be titled, feral Elementary kids and Principal Butters who thinks the prom is a complete waste of time.

A hilarious new musical comedy for all the family, from the writer of Sinbad and the Pirate Curse, Peter Pan – Return to Neverland and The Wind in the Willows. Perfect entertainment for the start of the summer holidays.
