Winners of the 2016 Royal Overseas League Ensemble Prize, the Consone Quartet have rapidly made a name for themselves as fresh, engaging and vivid interpreters of the Classical and early Romantic music in which they specialise.
This concert showcases an early quartet by Beethoven in his anniversary year, and Haydn, whose music features on the Consone Quartet’s much-lauded 2018 debut CD release (“Every now and then a debut disc comes along that instantly leaps out of the stereo at you as something special. This is one.” The Strad, March 2019).
