Americana
The last concert of the season will be their first venture into the music of South America.
Much of the programme is based around the music of Juan Gutiérrez de Padilla, who moved to Mexico from Spain in 1622. Pieces by the Argentinean Astor Piazzolla (Libertango) and North American composers Leonard Bernstein and Eric Whitacre (Cloudburst) complete the programme, which will also include an assortment of percussion.
