Forest Fruit - Naomi Kerkhove

Forest Fruit is a kind of multi-sensory Hansel and Gretel trail in which the audience connects the crumbs by following the threads of Kerkhove’s intricately woven textile landscape. The installation features a series of mechanically stitched miniature figures and structures which are threaded and arranged to create a textile environment made up of playfully lit mobiles and canvas cul-de-sacs.

People of all ages can explore the exhibit unaided in order to untangle their own unique patchwork of stories. The exhibit acts as a creative stimulus where a child’s imagination is king.

Belgian artist Naomi Kerkhove studied multimedia design at the KASK (School of Fine Arts) in Ghent (BE), her work incorporates illustration, textile design, performance and film.

Suitable for ages 5+

There is no running time for this installation, a maximum of 15 people can explore the event at any one time, please arrive at the time stated on your ticket and stay for as long or as short a time as you like. You can also buy tickets on the door and you will be admitted as soon as space becomes available.
