London 1847. Tobias Ragg takes up an apprenticeship at Sweeney Todd's barber shop on Fleet Street. When a young sailor goes missing after visiting the shop for a shave, Tobias becomes suspicious and his curiosity leads him to make a shocking discovery. This version of 'Sweeney Todd' is based on the original Victorian Penny Dreadful story 'The String of Pearls: A Romance'.
