Kindly Leave The Stage: Baroque Theatre Company
In a similar vein to “Noises Off” this light, frothy and highly entertaining ‘play within a play’ shows the petty off-stage jealousies and entanglements between the actors within a repertory theatre company, not to mention their artistic differences!
Poking fun light-heartedly at the complete theatricality of stage folk, John Chapman’s deliciously silly comedy, in which nothing is quite what it seems, is just the thing to lift your spirits and provide you with an evening of farcical humour, slapstick and wordplay. John Chapman was part of the writing team that brought us the classic British TV series ‘Are You Being Served?’
Norwich-based, Baroque Theatre Company is a professional, touring theatre company founded by Claire Bibby in 2010.
Baroque Theatre Company tours to date have played to full houses and have attracted excellent reviews. Its first national tour in Spring 2012 was the critically acclaimed production of Great Expectations by Hugh Leonard, an exciting adaptation of the novel by Charles Dickens.
'Anything presented by Baroque Theatre Company is worth seeing. Professional: well directed, designed, lit and acted, with a variety of scripts and cast, this is one company not to be missed' (C Phillips, Archant Newspapers)
Baroque Theatre Company are agile, adept and professional... Long live Baroque'
(Eastern Daily Press).
