Education, Education, Education

It’s 1997 and it’s the last week of term at the local secondary school. Miss Haines has lost the mock exam papers, the Year 11s have put a Renault 5 on the school roof and the video player has broken. Things can only get better.

Education, Education, Education asks big questions about a country in special measures. It explores power, responsibility, and change through the eyes of a hapless group of schoolteachers trying to make it through the day.

The show is devised by The Wardrobe Ensemble, who won huge critical acclaim with their 2015 production of 1972: The Future Of Sex at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Directed by Royal and Derngate’s former RYTDS Director In Residence Jesse Jones, they use their trademark inventive theatricality and irreverent humour to explore the stories that have shaped our recent political history, and what the future might look like. Think Teachers meets The Thick of It meets Smash Hits.
