Piano Recital: Unsung Heroines
Pianist Christopher Watson presents a recital of music by some of the oft-neglected women composers of the 19th century. Women like Clara Schumann and Agathe Backer Gröndahl were at the forefront of music-making in Europe during their lifetimes, but their music is played less often in our times. The programme also includes pieces by Fanny Hensel and Marie Jaëll.
