Peter Yates: Paintings 1939-1982

Peter Yates was best known as an architect. Alongside - and even prior to - his achievements in this field, however, he was an accomplished painter with a virtuoso eye for form and colour.

The exhibition will showcase an underrepresented aspect of Yates’ creative career by bringing together over forty of his paintings from 1939 to 1982. Many of these works show scenes from his extensive travels around Europe which would inspire his architectural designs.
