The Empress Maria By Luba Balagova

The play (45 min) is based on the published historical novel in verse "Empress" of the well known Circassian/Russian Poet and Author Luba Balagova. The story of love, drama and passion of Tsar Ivan The Terrible and his new Tsarina a Circassian Princess against the background of the 16th Century historical events leading to the formation of the Russian Empire. The language - Russian (Translation of the dialogues will be available in English).
