Daphne's Flight

1995 and five friends found themselves at Cambridge Festival. They decided to sing some songs together ... magic happened and Daphne's Flight took off.

Now, two decades later, five of the best female singers of their generation are gathering again – older, wiser and twice as powerful. On 5 May 2017 they release their new album on the Fledgling Label 'Knows Time, Knows Change'

The five original members are – Christine Collister (Gregson and Collister, The Richard Thompson Band); Melanie Harrold (Harrold and Blanchflower, The Hank Wangford Band, Joanna Carline); Julie Matthews (While and Matthews, St Agnes Fountain); Helen Watson (Burden of Paradise, The Love Notes); and Chris While (While and Matthews, St Agnes Fountain, Chris and Kellie While)

Drawing on their collective wealth of talent and varied styles, each of them accomplished songwriters, musicians and renowned singers, it was the combination of all five voices, a powerhouse of harmonies, that left audiences breathless and brought them much critical acclaim.
