Bullets And Daffodils - The Wilfred Owen Musical
With the Centenary of World War One very much in people's minds, Wirral can lay claim to nurturing one of its most important figures.
Wilfred Owen is one of the most highly regarded and best loved poets of The Great War, and he spent his youth here in Wirral, and attended Birkenhead Institute.
Bullets And Daffodils tells Wilfred's story from the back streets of Tranmere to the trenches of The Somme. His most iconic poems, including Anthem For Doomed Youth, Futility and Dulce Et Decorum Est, are set powerfully to music in a passionate and moving contemporary way.
Narrator Billy Butler will be joined by a special 100 piece 'Wirral Remembers' community choir to represent today's generation's remembrance. Bullets And Daffodils was the subject of a BBC TV documentary featuring Christopher Timothy.
