Now in its 7th year, the Southburgh festival of World music on Saturday 1st August in Norfolk is looking bigger and better than ever and looks like being a fantastic fun-filled family day with something for everyone.

Over the last 6 years, they have raised an amazing amount of money for the Mudeka Foundation which is truly changing of lives of children in Zimbabwe for the better. The Festival, which attracts people of all ages and backgrounds, is a day to celebrate music and the arts in an exciting and safe environment.

Outstanding performances; amazing workshops, great food, a wide range of stalls organized by Norwich Global village are what awaits people this year. Last year's festival completely sold out and this year looks like being a sell out as well, particularly with the fine selection of artists who are playing.

There will also be a Children’s tent on site offering a range of activities from 10 am to 4 pm and a wide range of food and arts and craft stalls. There will also be circus, singing, dancing and drumming workshops on offer on site as well.

The fringe stage will feature a wide range of acoustic artists and poets throughout the day, and there will be pop up performances around the venue to enhance the festival experience. From jazz to Irish, Rock, Africa and Cuban rhythms poetry to acoustic artists there is something on offer musically for everyone.

There will be a bar open on the Friday evening. Lick Cuisine will be serving delicious West Indies food and Jose Ferrera will play some Latino grooves. On Sunday morning, breakfast will be available between 9 and 10:30 am for campers for £5 with the produce coming from local farms and veggie options being available as well. All profits from the breakfasts will go to the Mudeka Foundation.
