Fairy tales are full of princesses, for every princess there shall be a prince. A charming prince to sweep the damsel off her feet, save the day and together they shall live happily ever after.

Someday my prince will come, they say.

But will he be what you expected? What if he doesn’t live up to the dream? Will he be all that the songs have told or will he turn out to be something else entirely?

Here he is, a man who doesn’t really fit into the latest fairy tale. How have stories he was told as a child affected him and resulting expectations of life and love compare to Disney’s picture perfect Prince and Princess model.

What part do we play? What if real life doesn't fit the role? What has the fairy tale done to him? He swaps castle for stage to find an answer.

There are many fables told of the trials of the princess, this show looks closer at the other one, the bloke who is meant to show up at the end and save it all.
