What better way to close the 2015 Festival than with poetry royalty?

Dame Carol Ann Duffy, the Poet Laureate and Founding Patron of Wenlock Poetry Festival, will take to the stage to read from her wonderfully wry and rich poetry. She performs alongside the Queen's Gold Medal winner for poetry Imtiaz Dharker who returns to Wenlock for 2015, and our poet in residence Jean Atkin. The Gala evening is rounded off with the glorious Little Machine who's fusion of poetry and music is a delight to behold!

Little Machine - Music that moves the feet for words that move the soul - are a trio featuring guitar-playing composer, arranger and singer Walter Wray, multi-instrumentalist, poet and composer Steve Halliwell and poet and musician Chris Hardy. They have appeared with Carol Ann Duffy, Roger McGough, Gillian Clarke, Liz Lochhead, John Cooper-Clarke, John Hegley and many others. They are making a triumphal return to Wenlock having first performed at the festival in 2012.
