Benny Goodman’s 1938 Carnegie Hall Concert: 80th Anniversary
Benny Goodman’s 1938 Carnegie Hall concert is revered by big band and music fans worldwide. Ex-Jools Holland arranger and star soloist Pete Long doesn’t have Gene Krupa, Harry James, Lionel Hampton and Teddy Wilson in the Goodmen Orchestra, but he does have the cream of London’s big band players, guaranteeing all the passion and frenzy of the original concert. Featuring unforgettable tunes such as Sing, Sing, Sing, Don’t Be That Way, Body & Soul, One O’Clock Jump and China Boy.
Pete Long's Goodmen Orchestra
A tribute to the Benny Goodman Orchestra including ‘One O’Clock Jump’, ‘Sing, Sing, Sing’ and ‘Big John Special’.
