RARE Productions Youth Theatre

RARE Productions, the UK’s largest youth musical theatre company, will be performing Peter Pan – The Musical. This is a wonderful adaption of the timeless tale by JM Barrie, with music by George Styles and lyrics by Anthony Drewe.

In London, city workers hurry homeward as darkness falls, worried by reports of babies going missing from their prams. In the Darling House in Bloomsbury, Mr and Mrs Darling reluctantly prepare to go out for the evening, leaving their children in the care of Lisa, the maid, and Nana, a Newfoundland dog.
As silence descends, Tinkerbell, a mischievous fairy, and Peter Pan, a boy who never grew up, fly into the nursery. Peter invites Wendy and her brothers to fly back to Never Land with him and, with a sprinkling of fairy dust, away they all go.

But Never Land is not as care-free as Peter had suggested, and the children encounter warrior Indians, malevolent mermaids and pirates led by Captain Hook. Bloomsbury seems a long, long way away….
