Re-imagining Colossus - Twice
Colossus, the code-breaking computer that was kept secret for decades, still generates awe and inspiration.
Colossus Rebuild Chief Engineer Phil Hayes will tell the story of how the Colossus Rebuild came into being. In 1994, decades after the last Colossus stopped working, Tony Sale and his team embarked on what turned out to be a 14-year reconstruction with the bare minimum of information. Today, the Colossus Rebuild functions - how did they achieve that?
Then in 2016, Entropy, based in the Bletchley Park Science and Innovation Centre, embarked on a Virtual Reality imagining of Colossus. Come along to hear Eddie Vassallo talk about its development.
