Oriole And Basquiate Strings Double Bill
Two of Britain's most popular instrumental groups, are touring together for the first time. Their leaders, Jonny Phillips and Ben Davis share a constant desire to create music that is fresh and alive. Oriole's beguiling sound, which borrows from Brazilian and Spanish traditions, will be complimented by the jazz and classical influences of Basquiat Strings. The maverick drummer Seb Rochford will feature in both groups. The evening promises to be a journey through sonic landscapes, from raw, earthy warmth to delicate elegance.
