Manchester's legendary Blue Orchids are back! Christened the Blue Orchids by John Cooper Clarke, they formed in 1979 when Martin Bramah left The Fall after recording the debut album Live At The Witch Trials. They signed to Rough Trade Records in 1980 and were championed by the late great John Peel, before touring with Echo & The Bunnymen and then The Velvet Underground's Nico, serving as both backing group and support act. Over the years Blue Orchids have included in their line up members of The Smiths, The Durutti Column, The Fall and Buzzcocks. Martin Bramah reformed the band in 2012 for John Peel Day events in London, Liverpool and Manchester and it's the classic Rough Trade era recordings that the band is now playing at their live shows, to great acclaim. 'It's been great to breathe new life into these songs again after so long - they're sounding so fresh and original, I could have written them all yesterday!' - Martin Bramah

Klammer are Steve Whitfield (Guitar/Vox), Paul Strickland (Vox/Guitar), Mike Addy (Bass Guitar) and Bruno Almeida (Drums). Leeds band Klammer had an excellent 2016. They released their 2nd self titled album ‘Klammer’, on Under Dogz Records and released a 7” single on Curious Fox Records in September that was championed by Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music. They have played up and down the country including a national support tour with Richie Ramone in Feb and playing to a full house at the 100 Club in London with Penetration. Klammer put a contemporary twist on the post-punk attitude. Although there's plenty of hooks in their songs, there's a dark and edgy broodiness coursing through the sound of the band. They came to life in 2014, drawing from the members' shared love for all things angular, dark, loud and melodic and have released two albums on Under Dogz Records (Auslane and Klammer).
