Habeas Corpus

Habeas Corpus is the story of Dr. Arthur Wicksteed and his pursuit of a young patient, Felicity Rumpers. Wicksteed's wife, Muriel, is, in turn, trying to recapture her first love, the head of the BMA, Sir Percy Shorter, who also shares a secret with Felicity’s mother, Lady Rumpers.

Felicity herself wants to marry the hypochondriac son of the Wicksteed’s Denis but has an ulterior motive for that. Meanwhile, Wicksteed's spinster sister Connie has schemes of her own, owing to her loveless engagement. The local vicar wants Connie, Connie wants Mr Shanks, Arthur Wicksteed wants Felicity, Felicity wants Dennis, Muriel wants Sir Percy, everyone wants love and all they’re likely to get is a cup of tea!
