Ursula Holden Gill

After last month's brilliant sell out show, in March another giant of the storytelling world is invited to Matlock. Award winning teller Ursula Holden Gill will perform The Bard's Bridge.

Inspired by various sources, including a 17th century witching tale, a children’s classic, a contemporary Italian folktale and a silly little anecdote she learned down the pub, the piece challenges listeners to consider their relationship with loss, desire, sense of place and transformation. Expect a good measure of Ursula’s characteristic comedy, haunting, traditional song and some West moor land clog.
