Whistle Down The Wind

Based on the novel by Mary Hayley Bell and subsequent Richard Attenborough produced film, whistle down the wind follows the fortunes of a fugitive caught between the prejudice of adults and the innocence of the young.

This musical version has been reset in Louisiana in the 1950s when the word teenager was invented. Swallow, 15, Finds a man hiding out in her barn and takes him to be Jesus Christ and thinks all her prayers are answered. Fantasy and reality collide as the children vow to protect the man from the raging war of the adult world.
