A genre busting mix of sweet stunning vocal harmonies over funky blissed out grooves; punctuated by echoing banjo, guitar, shimmering mandolins, spooky brass and keyboards.
Maia self proclaimed Sci-fi folk evangelists formed in 2009 as experimental acoustic alchemists playing whatever instruments were lying around.
After touring and playing festivals over the last four years and releasing two albums the band have built a steady loyal following.
In 2014 Maia won Yorkshire Gig Guide award for Outstanding Live Band.
2015 was spent recording raucously their third album, released in 2016, describing it as "Harmonic psychedelic sci-fi folk and disco rock...."

The August List are husband and wife duo, Martin and Keraleigh Child. They write songs that combine dark stories with the big three of love, life and death. These words are then wrapped in what can only be sensibly described as 'garage folk' - an acoustic sound, blending elements of English and American folk music with an alternative rock attitude.
