Yoga For Beginners
Have you ever wondered what Yoga is all about but not felt confident or flexible enough to try a general class?
Then this course is for you!
This 6 week Yoga for Beginners Program will provide you with an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Hatha Yoga in a safe, supportive and fun environment with an experienced teacher.
Throughout the course you will be introduced to principles and techniques, providing you with a foundation to practice safely and to feel confident in participating in general Yoga classes.
What you will learn:
Basic alignment and the benefits of some of the key postures
How to modify your practice to suit your individual requirements
Essential breathing and relaxation techniques
Some basic principles and philosophy
Hatha Yoga is a popular form of Yoga which includes a wide variety of physical postures and breath integration to strengthen the body, enhance flexibility and focus the mind.
The Course Tutor Bev Alderson is an experienced and accredited Hatha Yoga Teacher having studied in both Australia and India. Bev’s practical and down to earth approach makes this program accessible to anyone wishing to give Yoga a try.
Yoga mats are provided.
Please wear comfortable clothing that you can stretch in such as a t-shirt and leggings. Its also a good idea to wear layers that can be removed if you get hot during the practice and keep you warm during relaxation.
On Thursdays from 6:45pm to 8:00pm each week from May 5th to June 9th.
