Cloud Computing

Learn more about cloud computing and what services it offers.

With the phrase cloud computing being used more and more today, it is important for any professional or personal user to understand what it is all about. This course is an ideal way to learn more about it and what services it offers to individuals and businesses alike.

In the term cloud computing the word cloud is a metaphor for the Internet. By using cloud computing, you can gain access at any time through any device, via the Internet, to data and files which you have uploaded, or to software applications which you need to use for personal or professional use.

The course will cover:
Understand what cloud computing is and how it works
Understand the benefits of cloud computing along with its potential drawbacks.
How to access personal Cloud
How to retrieve and store digital files to the Cloud
How to connect devices, synchronise documents via a Cloud
Gain an understanding of the different Cloud services available (Dropbox, iCloud, Google Drive, OneDrive etc).

Course requirements: Participants should possess an e-mail address to create an account for cloud based services and be able to access the internet, files and folders.
