An Evening With

Taking a break from live shows with "The Crazy World of Arthur Brown", The amazingly operatic and progressive artiste extraordinaire, Arthur Brown, will be touring "An Audience with" style show to seated audiences telling his amazing life story.

The God of Hell Fire will tell such stories as how the band torched the French Mafia's club in Spain and what happened when Jimi Hendrix's girlfriend arrived home after a night with the God of Hell Fire, among a plethora of other amazing but true tales, from a career spanning 45 years, from his 1968 number 1 hit single "Fire" and headlining the first Glastonbury in 1971; through being covered by the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, The Who and The Prodigy and cited as a major influence by Peter Gabriel, Bruce Dickenson and Alice Cooper; to being awarded "Showman of The Year" by Classic Rock Magazine up to his latest album release "Zim Zam Zim...

This is a piece of sheer performance theatre, a form of which Arthur Brown was one of the true pioneers. This multimedia presentation of his life, times and travels includes solo acoustic material, dance, shadow puppetry, projection and animation. On stage with just his co-traveller Angel Fallon who is also well known to fans as his extravagant dancer, she will sing, dance and help narrate the whole story, a story based true events from the past & future!

Arthur Brown appearing at this event

After 40 years of performing, adventuring and recording, the indomitable force that is Arthur Brown continues to come up with a genre spanning, time travelling, world bending, heavy grooving and massively eclectic collection of songs. This is music made in the now with Arthur's vital, soulful and acrobatic voice at the heart. Arthur's long career has been one of true innovation and exploration. From pioneering theatrics in music with the worldwide hit Fire to heavy involvement in '60s London at the UFO club, to a role in The Who's Tommy and an early pioneer of electronica, with Brown's band being the first to use a drum machine on stage. Arthur and The Crazy World live band have been playing stages across Europe with a voice and stage presence that leaves a trail of dust in its wake. Brown takes to the stage bedecked in full warpaint, backed by a band of players who can match his energy and power. The result is electric.
