Alberteen

After developing their signature ‘Rhythm & Noir’ sound, a mixture of 60s R ‘n’ B, dark, provocative lyricism and post-punk sonics, Alberteen shot to prominence in 2012 with their single ‘A Girl and a Gun’, followed by the album ‘Metal Book’ (4 stars The Independent, Uncut Magazine) and a session for BBC6 as well as airplay around the world. The album and singles were played by BBC 6 Music’s Mark Radcliffe, Stuart Maconie, Gideon Coe, Tom Robinson and Liz Kershaw.

Tonight they will perform their forthcoming second album for the first time, inspired by England’s southern coastal towns, from the mod riots of Margate to Derek Jarman’s Dungeness, with visuals from Kent photographer Nigel Green.
