A veteran of the U.K. grime scene, MC, producer, and record-label owner Skepta was influential in the genre's shift from the underground to the pop charts, as well as its creative and commercial resurgence during the mid-2010s. Born Joseph Junior Adenuga to Nigerian parents, Skepta moved to Tottenham with his family at the age of three. Inspired by both US and UK hip-hop, he started his music career appearing on the pirate radio circuit and performing at various MC battles.
In 2005, he formed the grime label Boy Better Know with brother J.M.E. and Wiley, and a year later joined East London collective Roll Deep, although he left the following year to concentrate on Boy Better Know and his solo career.
The the pseudonym of Andre Williams, Shy FX is a London based Drum And Bass and Jungle DJ, producer and remixer. He has produced for Dizzee Rascal and Yasmin and remixed for DJ Fresh. Shy FX crashed the British charts in 1994 with 'Original Nuttah', one of the most infectious Ragga-Jungle anthems of all time, and he quickly became one of Jungle's most respected producers.
Toddla T is the stage name of Tom Bell - a DJ, record producer, re-mixer and composer from Sheffield. He started DJing at the age of 14 in the clubs and bars of Sheffield and by the age of 16 had left school to pursue a full-time career in the music industry. His stage name was given to him by the older Sheffield DJs who influenced him and was used to indicate his relative youth. Toddla T's first album, for 1965 Records, encompasses hip-hop, electro, garage, dancehall and house and was released in May 2009. The major collaborators were Serocee and Mr Versatile. He has also created a mix album for club label Fabric and has a regular slot on BBC Radio 1 - In New DJs We Trust. Recently Toodla T signed to the world renowned Ninja Tune record label and is working on his next release.
