The Genre-based literary Festival celebrating words – oral, written and published – associated with the music industry. There will be performances, signings and panels interrogating everything from black British music to Goths, The Beatles to The Fall, Bob Marley to Frank Sidebottom. The festival opens up on the Friday with the launch events and John Robb’s Late Night Music Quiz and will then carry through the entire weekend.
The inaugural Louder Than Words Festival took place in November 2013 and was judged by all to have been a resounding success. Louder Than Words is the first event that seeks to look, specifically, about the enduring love affair between music and the written word.
