In 1995 MGM released the hyper erotic movie set in the world of Las Vegas strip cubs to much fanfare only to be greeted with terrible reviews and much laughter. Now the film is seen as a camp classic (the DVD is one of the biggest selling DVDs in MGM history) and is coming back, but this time in a new stage parody version by the award winning Vertigo Theatre Productions.

Nomi Malone packs up her leggings and glitter and heads to Las Vegas to follow her dream of becoming a dancer, but before she can say ‘cliche’ Nomi is thrust in to the world of the Las Vegas strip scene.

Luckily for her her new BFF Molly works at the ultimate Vegas topless show ’Goddess’ at the Stardust hotel and now Nomi wants a part in it and will do anything to get it and we mean anything, even if that means taking on the shows star Cristal Connors.

Thrusting, Dancing, Stripping, Name calling, Hair Pulling, Back stabbing, glitter and dog food, Nomi will find out that all that glitters in Vegas is just an illusion and she will have to pay the ultimate price to make her dream come true.

Full of all your favourite lines and scenes from the flop movie plus so much more, Showgirls can be enjoyed by fans of the film or Showgirls virgins who have never seen it before, either way you are in for a crazy night of adult comedy that will have you thrusting for your life.

Stepping in to the now iconic roles are Dale Vicker (Die Mommie, Die! Christmas Sorority Massacre, M, Murder She Writes) in a gender bending performance as the constantly angry Nomi Malone. Former page 3 model Emma Morgan who saw her career in tatters after the Fake Sheikh Mazher Mahmood framed her in the tabloids joins the cast as the ultimate diva Cristal Connors.

Emma was recently seen in the smash hit play Porno Chic for which she was nominated for a BroadwayWorldUK Award for Best Actress. Also joining the cast is Richard Allen, one of the most successful names on the fringe scene who gained rave reviews in Porno Chic, Last Dance, Mysterious Skin, Ascension among others. Allen will play Zach Carey, the charming yet slimy entertainment director with seriously floppy hair. More casting will be announced at a later date.

The play is written by multi award winning and MTA nominated Craig Hepworth (Porno Chic, Last Dance, Ascension, Murder She Writes, Watching Goldfish Suffocate, M, Rage etc and the upcoming Black Ice) and co writer Stu Reeve (Murder She Writes, Christmas Massacre and the upcoming Black Ice). It will be directed by Craig Hepworth and produced by one of Manchester’s most successful fringe theatre companies Vertigo Theatre Productions.
