Noir
New York City, 1949, corruption, crime and murder dominate the seedy underbelly, deception is a way of life. However, that's not the stories the detective remembers the most. Away from the crime in an average suburban area lives Veronica Smart, a beautiful blonde bombshell in her mid 30s who's marriage to husband Cliff Smart has taken a turn for the worst.
Starting a new job at local high school whilst still dreaming of fame and fortune, Veronica spins a web over 3 teenagers, a web so tangled that once trapped, they will never get out unscathed. Lies, deceit, seduction, love, lust and murder collide in this brand new stylish play inspired by the 90s true story of Pamela Smart and relocated back to an era of smokey Bars, black and white, femme fatale's and danger buried under every word.
The world premiere of Noir written and directed by award winning Craig Hepworth and produced by multi award winning Vertigo Theatre Productions (Porno Chic, Last Dance, Ascension, Black Ice, The Great American 80s Soap Opera, M etc) will open this November for 2 weeks at The Kings Arms, Salford and promised to heat up those cold winter nights.
