The Booth Centre Theatre Company

The Edge Theatre and Arts Centre run regular drama and music workshops in partnership with The Booth Centre and a grant from Arts Council England has enabled this partnership to launch The Booth Centre Theatre Company.

The Booth Centre Theatre Company invites you to attend their performance of The Imaginarium of Doctor Booth on Friday 3rd July.

This will be their second production under the banner of the new Booth Centre Theatre Company.

Following on from the success of A Christmas Carol, they have decided this term to be more abstract in their thinking and more surreal in their approach. They have been exploring famous people's ideas on Music, Friendship and Happiness and have shared their own thoughts on these, which you will hear in this performance too.

The theatre company have taken a sideways look at some familiar quotes and thought about their relevance to their own lives.

They are also for the first time, staging the show in traverse, with the audience on both sides. This throws up new challenges for the cast but also lets them discover new ways of using space and developing performance skills.
