Donald Grant fiddle Catriona McKay harp Fionan de Barra guitar Neil Harland double bass James MacIntosh percussion, kit Sally Doherty vocals RNCM String Ensemble Born and brought up in the highlands of Scotland, Donald Grant was immersed in traditional Scottish music before beginning his studies at the RNCM in 1998.Donald performed at the College as part of the Elias Quartet in our 2007 Chamber Music Festival but you may also have seen him play with his folk trio back in 2006 as part of the RNCM’s Northern Lights series. Tonight, he returns with some long-term collaborators to launch his new album of contemporary folk music. The line-up includes RNCM alumnus Catriona McKay, who played a stunning show here with Nils Økland last Spring.
