Wizkid is a MOBO awarding-winning Nigerian recording artist, songwriter, and performer. As an 11-year-old singing at his local church in Lagos, Nigeria, Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid could never have predicted the dizzying success he would go on to enjoy within the music industry years later. This singer has devoted every minute to perfecting his craft and finds inspiration in the world around him, which he then translates musically in the form of intoxicating lyrics and melodies. Since bursting onto the scene with his debut album ‘Superstar’ in 2011, Wizkid has amassed over 4 million followers on Twitter (the first ever Nigerian musician to have over 1 million) and devotes a lot of his attention to interacting with fans, and it’s this accessibility and personal connection that kept such a loyal following.
