This event has been and gone.
Following the announcement of their fourth studio album ‘False Alarm’ last week, Two Door Cinema Club today reveal plans for a six date UK headline tour this October.
Out 14 June, and the band’s first album to be released in full collaboration with Prolifica Inc, ‘False Alarm’ finds the band gloriously unshackled and creatively instinctive, scanning and satirising the social and environmental woes of 2019 and beyond through the prism of wonderfully off-kilter pop, simultaneously borrowing from and warping elements of future pop, disco, rock, funk and soul. Recorded in sessions between London and LA with producer Jacknife Lee (U2, REM, The Killers), it’s an LP that takes the familiar and twists it, to startling and stimulating effect. It all makes for a wide-eyed, culture-encompassing leap forward for the band, a record liable to break, ruin and remould pop in 2019.
Frontman Alex explains ‘We're trying to create a new world for this record to exist in, and we want that to go everywhere from the music videos, the artwork, the live show. We're putting together the live show right now. It's so exciting because there are no limits anymore. We're not just Two Door Cinema Club as defined by what we've done, we're Two Door Cinema Club doing whatever we want to do.’

The Irish Indie-electro-pop three-piece formed in 2007, when founding members Alex Trimble and Sam Halliday met at Bangor Grammar school and subsequently teamed up with Kevin Baird. Characterised by the band's short, sharp songs with punky overtones and indie sensibilities, the County Down boys achieved a UK no.1 album in 2012 with their 2nd release 'Beacon' on French independent label Kitsuné. Their success led them to signing with Parlophone for their 2016 3rd album 'Gameshow'. Their 4th release; 'False Alarm', follows in June 2019.

A journey through melodic, psychedelic pop is what’s to be expected from Stockport four-piece, Fuzzy Sun. The freshly formed line-up, fronted by the lulling vocals of Kyle Ross, sees a distinct and original take on chorus-heavy reveries. Daisy Valentines bold and melancholic synth, coupled with sweet and seductive harmonies is equally complemented by Lewis Jobson & Mitch Bancroft’s strong soothing groove through the rhythm section. Fuzzy Sun bring you contemporary pop, infused with psychedelia, dipped in naughties R’n’B nostalgia, with just a hint of disco flare.

Hailing from various parts of the UK, ramshackle Indie six-piece Sports Team met whilst studying at Cambridge. They’re now based in Harlesden (west London), tucked 'between the McVities biscuit factory and an evangelical church'. Channeling a lyrical cynicism that touches on young-professionals and provincial clichés, with influences ranging from indie pioneers Pavement, through to 90s post punk also-rans The Family Cat, Sports Team have cut through the ranks of London’s live scene and become one of the country’s most exciting and important discoveries.
