First Street's First Street Party

Head to First Street, Manchester's newest neighbourhood and home of HOME, the city's new international centre for contemporary visual art, theatre and film, for a free day of family-friendly art, music, food and theatre.

Bring a picnic or sample some of the street food on offer while the kids play giant jenga and enjoy roaming performers, live theatre and magical bubble shows. Music lovers should grab a spot close to the bandstand, which will be featuring an eclectic mix of performances ranging from steel orchestras and brass bands to flamenco and jazzy blues. HOME itself will also be hosting a variety of family friendly activities including storytellers, fun workshops and family-focused building tours.

For those who would rather enjoy a cocktail whilst kicking back on a deckchair and enjoying the spectacular Manchester cityscape, head to the roof of Q-Park First Street, which will be hosting a rooftop garden party with ambient grooves from some of Manchester's finest DJ's.
