The bassist/vocalist from A Certain Ratio who are one of the cornerstones of Manchester music and Factory records favourites who regularly supported Joy Division and were New York regulars in the early 80’s. Jez Kerr has stepped out for a solo jaunt and the results have been outstanding. His first solo single Play Sumthing Fast was critically acclaimed by the Music Journals and had many airings on BBC 6 Music and Radio 2. It was nominated as single of the week on The Radcliffe and Maconie show.

Jez followed this up with a solo album, Numb Mouth Eat Waste, which received 5 star reviews in Q magazine, Mojo magazine and The Guardian Newspaper who wrote, “The predominant feel of the album is one of off-kilter, existential panic”.

Live performances followed including gigs alongside The Fall, Badly Drawn Boy, Mark Stewart (The Pop Group),The Lovely Eggs, Number 6 festival and Kendal Calling as well as supporting New Order on their latest UK tour. His performance at the Syrian relief fund gig at the Deaf Institute in 2015 cemented his reputation as one of the best live acts around.

His new solo single “Met A Girl In A New York Club’ is due for release soon on San Francisco record label Disco Piñata.

Support comes from experimental Mancunian Eric Random and furocious trio Déjà Vega!
