Saturday Science: From Steam To Electricity

Join enthusiastic local scientists and engineers a with fascinating demonstrations, fun hands-on activities and informal chat.

Have you ever wondered how electricity is made or how a wind turbine works? Have you ever asked 'Is this electrical device safe?' or wished that you could try on one of those big orange high-vis jackets?

To celebrate National Science and Engineering Week come and spend some time with the Engineers of Fiddler's Ferry Power Station and make a wind turbine model, try on some personal protective equipment and see how the power station works.

Although Saturday Science sessions are designed to be suitable for all ages, they usually contain elements specifically for children and families.
